At The Summit Counseling Center, we value the passion and advocacy of those who support our mission. When donors contribute to The Summit and join The Summit Society, we provide the opportunity for you to contribute to the fund most meaningful to you. The following categories describe the different funds available and the areas that they support. If you do not have a preference, your contribution will go to the fund where there is the greatest need.
Counseling Assistance Funds
Contributions to any of these funds are used for only one purpose – to help underwrite the cost of counseling for persons who could not otherwise afford the full cost of counseling services.
Client Assistance Fund
Your contribution subsidizes the fees of clients who cannot afford the cost of services. This is our primary, general fund for counseling help. This helps adults, young adults, couples, parents, teens, children, those with substance abuse issues, and those struggling with grief, loss or trauma.
Contributing to the Recovery Fund supports clients who are recovering from alcohol or drug abuse issues and those struggling with other compulsive/addictive issues. Through your support, these clients receive a reduced fee that is affordable on their road to recovery. These clients often have significant financial challenges and benefit greatly from your support.
Women Helping Women Fund
Your contribution to this fund represents women of strength helping women in need. The women of The Summit Society plan to sponsor regular events to increase awareness of The Summit’s services and to raise funds to empower women in crisis. Nearly two-thirds of our clients are either women or their children. Often women are financially vulnerable at the very time they most need counseling help. Your contribution insures that women and their children receive the help they need!
Minister’s Referral Fund
By partnering with The Summit Counseling Center, you can help local congregations extend their ministry! You may designate your contribution to help the Church or Churches of your choice. The Summit will make counseling referral vouchers available to the ministers – pastors, associate staff, and ministry leaders. The vouchers allow ministers to refer a person for an initial counseling session at no cost – removing the first barrier to getting help! If additional subsidy is needed, clients are helped through our Client Assistance Fund.
Additional Contribution Funds
Fundraising Event Sponsorship
The Summit Society hosts a variety of fundraising events throughout the year – including our Annual Summit Golf Classic. Your personal or corporate sponsorship of Summit Society events helps to insure the success of the event and sends a strong message about your commitment to our community! Your personal or corporate sponsorship qualifies you for membership in The Summit Society.
Your contribution helps to strengthen the long term mission and vision of The Summit Counseling Center, and to insure that The Summit will be here to help future generations. Because The Summit only uses the interest from this fund, your gift to this fund will “keep on giving”!
The Capital Fund
Your contribution provides for the long-term capital needs of The Summit. This fund provides the bricks-and-mortar (and computers and building maintenance) support needed for The Summit to remain strong, growing, and effective.
The Marketing And Development Fund
Your contribution helps The Summit to build and maintain a robust marketing and public awareness campaign to insure that our message of “hope, healing, and growth” reaches people who need it the most!
The Operating Fund
Your contribution supports the day-to-day ministry operations of The Summit Counseling Center—helping us to hold down the ongoing increase in the cost of providing excellent counseling services that integrate Christian faith!
