Deiona Carter is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families. She believes in working with parents as a team to help their child reach their full potential. Deiona has experience leading social skills groups and working with children who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and various mental health disorders. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Georgia State University and later returned for graduate school where she earned her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling.
Deiona believes that no two clients are the same and enjoys creating interventions and activities that incorporate clients’ interests. She provides a safe and supportive environment by maintaining unconditional positive regard and empathy for all clients. Deiona is passionate about helping her clients reach their goals in all aspects of their lives no matter where they are on their journey.
Deiona enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors and finding exciting things to do in the city of Atlanta.
