“I believe that all humans have intrinsic value and desire love and acceptance. I consider it a precious gift to be invited to walk alongside my clients on their journey to rediscovering joy and healing.”

LeeAnn’s Blog

LeeAnna is an Associate Professional Counselor who works primarily with adults, young adults, teens, and their families. Her areas of concentration include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, difficult life transitions, and ways to improve a person’s overall well-being.

LeeAnna King takes an integrative approach to therapy. She feels as if one of the most important catalysts for change is found in the strength of the therapeutic alliance. Within the therapeutic alliance is a collaboration and agreement on a client’s goals and treatment tasks. Taking into account that a client’s past experiences, emotional expression, patterns in relationship, and interpersonal experience have shaped their belief about themselves and the rest of the world. LeeAnna works with clients to help them become the expert in their own life. Her methods are based on the belief that all humans have intrinsic value and are deserving of love and acceptance.

Before beginning her work as a counselor, LeeAnna worked for 8 years with adults with developmental disabilities teaching them social and vocational skills. Since receiving her masters in counseling, LeeAnna has had experience working in a partial hospitalization program with adolescents and adults.

LeeAnna has been happily married to her husband for 3 years. One of her favorite ways to spend time with her husband is at the gym, which supports their love for fitness and friendly competition. She also considers herself an animal lover and currently has 1 fur baby at home.
