“The best discovery the discoverer makes for himself.” – Ralph W. Emerson
Brady values the uniqueness of each therapeutic relationship she builds with her clients. She believes in the power of holding a safe space for her clients to discover and bring awareness to their inner selves, build resiliency, and learn coping mechanisms. She does this by creating a genuine environment where clients feel free to be themselves, allowing barriers to break down and growth to be made.
Brady’s approach is client-centered, using play therapy and expressive techniques. She works from theories of attachment, systems and social learning. Brady enjoys working with the parent and family to build cohesion and provide tools for families to use outside of the therapeutic realm. Brady’s areas of expertise include bullying, self-esteem, social skills, divorce, family conflict, life transitions, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression and the parent-child relationship.
Brady received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, majoring in child and family development. She received her graduate degree in Social Work from The University of Texas in Austin. Brady is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She has experience working in a variety of settings including community-based counseling, school social work, and medical social work.
In her spare time, Brady enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, being crafty and completing DYI home projects, antique shopping and playing tennis.
Brady is under the supervision of Erin Nicolas.
