“It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light”- Aristotle Onassis
Dr. Page is passionate about providing empirically supported, high-quality care for clients. She works with both individuals and families and will see clients from 5 years old through adulthood. Her areas of concentration and competence include anger management, anxiety and panic disorders, college transitions, communication skills, conflict resolution, depression, emotional abuse, parent-child relationships, parenting, problem behaviors, self-harm, social skills and peer relationships, stress, suicidal ideation, and trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Dr. Page utilizes a holistic approach to understand how psychosocial factors impact mental health outcomes. She uses a variety of evidence-based techniques while integrating non-specific therapeutic factors to increase engagement. Her therapeutic approach is firmly rooted in the community value of empowerment and providing safe spaces for the emotionally challenged to find their voice. To this end, Dr. Page views therapy as a reciprocal relationship so she encourages her clients to actively participate in the therapeutic process. She equips her clients with the necessary tools to successfully navigate their challenges while identifying and building on their strengths. She has specific training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Parent Management Training, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy as well as various other treatment modalities. During her training, Dr. Page has worked with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, behavior disorders, trauma, and family conflict.
Prior to joining the Summit, Dr. Page worked in a variety of clinical settings including doing assessments in private practice and juvenile justice settings as well as providing counseling and skills groups at youth residential treatment facilities, schools, substance abuse treatment centers, student counseling centers, and community mental health centers.
Dr. Page is married and has a young daughter. She enjoys reading, watching movies, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends.
Heather Page is under the directed experience and clinical supervision of Nathan Butzen, PsyD.
