“I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being; let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” ― Etienne de Grellet

Terrace is a visionary with a passion for the development, growth, and emotional healing of children, youth, and their families. Her methods are solution-focused and strength-based. She has created programs and services to develop students, teachers, administrators, and staff in understanding youth mental health and implementing creative solutions resulting in healthy environments. Terrace utilizes evidence-based practices to assist clients that have been severely impacted by trauma. She offers intensive services and support to empower others to unlearn behaviors and thinking that has negatively impacted their decision-making. Her techniques are effective in assisting clients in learning conflict resolution, self-regulation, anger management, coping skills, identification of triggers, and effective communication. Terrace’s interpersonal skills allow her to build rapport and genuine trust with clients that is essential to the therapeutic process, and meeting people where they are.

Terrace earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Michigan State University. She has provided service to those in foster care, substance abuse treatment programs, homeless shelters, residential facilities, and juvenile offenders through individual and group therapy. In addition, Terrace worked with students in special education creating programs, providing service, and educating others to aid those with emotional behavior disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, dual diagnosis, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, and ADHD. Terrace has assisted youth in changing their trajectory through the development and implementation of programs that utilize the support of caregivers and school staff to nurture the whole child. As a School Social Worker, she has developed curriculums and programs to teach social skills; train staff on best practices for effective classroom management strategies; develop resources and support for parents and caregivers; in addition to creating and facilitating trauma-informed care and social-emotional learning strategies.

Terrace is committed to volunteer work and always finds time to serve others. She is an optimist and utilizes her enthusiasm to connect with others. Terrace believes everyone has strengths and empowers them to become their best advocate, resource, and champion. Terrace enjoys learning new things and taking on various projects. In her spare time (which is not often), she enjoys spending time with her children (Greatest. Gift. Ever.), cooking, reading, binge-watching TV, and having brunch, dinner, or coffee with friends that are family.

Terrace is under the directed experience and clinical supervision of Dr. Alice Hoag, LPC, CPCS.
