Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a specialized form of therapy that is designed to help individuals cope with dysregulated emotions and behaviors in combination with some of the following issues:
- Impulsivity
- Thoughts of suicide
- Struggles with identity
- Overwhelming emotions
- Self-injury
- Difficulty maintaining relationships
This is a customized program designed for college students to complete all modules of the DBT program over their summer break. In this class, you will learn skills to reach the following goals:
- Tolerate difficult emotions
- Enhance awareness of the present moment
- Manage your thoughts and emotions
- Learn communication skills
- Maintain healthy relationships
- Create a life worth living
