When life feels heavy, confusing, or overwhelming, you deserve a place where you can breathe again or feel lighter. If you’re carrying anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, substance use, relationship pain, or the weight of a major transition, Kimberly offers a warm, steady presence to help you feel understood and supported. Her approach is compassionate and trauma informed, blending ACT, DBT, CBT, mindfulness, somatic practices, and Brainspotting — a gentle but powerful neuroscience based method that helps you access and release what’s stuck beneath the surface. Many clients find that Brainspotting quickly accelerates healing in ways traditional talk therapy alone can’t reach. Kimberly also brings specialized training in Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and she is a Certified Grief-Informed Professional and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. No matter what you’re facing, she meets you exactly where you are — helping you feel grounded, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
Outside of the therapy space, Kimberly enjoys traveling with her husband, being outside, spending time with her dogs, listening to podcasts, and connecting with loved ones.
Kimberly Tate-Nuwar is under the direct experience and clinical supervision of Paul Olander, Jr. LCSW.
