A motivation develops that helps people benefit from therapy when people first begin with knowing despite life’s hardships and circumstances, life is meant to be lived and enjoyed. Shelley believes in not only helping people find this motivation but aiding them in constructing healthy beliefs about themselves, so their lives are able to reflect their beliefs. Shelley works with individuals to cancel out the noise whether in their minds or going on around them to hear the voice within and find ways to rise above their circumstances. Shelley utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and utilizes a holistic approach to address all areas that could affect an individual.
When Shelley is not counseling, she enjoys being out in nature often for bike rides, walking at a park, or sitting by bodies of water. She loves to endeavor on cracking the hidden messages in the Bible and serving at her home church. She adores spending time laughing with family and friends and binge-watching Netflix series.
