David Smith – Executive Director
Since 2001, David has served double duty as both a therapist, clinical supervisor and Summit’s Counseling’s Executive Director. As Executive Director he is responsible for overseeing the execution of the mission and vision of the Summit. During his tenure he has seen the Summit expand from 3 to over 20 staff and from 1000 to over 8000 counseling sessions each year.
Elaine Moss – Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Elaine provides day-to-day servant leadership to the 22 member staff of Summit Counseling. Her role is the central nervous system of the Summit constantly keeping everyone from the Board, to the Executive Leadership Team to the Therapists and Front Office connected and moving in the same direction.
Nathan Butzen – Director of Clinical Services
Cathy Murphy – Director of Community Relations
Cathy Murphy is Summit Counseling’s ambassador to our surrounding community. Her primary role is to assess needs, cultivate strategic “Partner in Caring” relationships while working together with Summit’s therapists to address the growing mental health challenges facing our community.
Shawn Murphy – Director of Development
With over 30 years of nonprofit development, Shawn leads Summit Counseling’s effort to be a sustainable, community-focused organization. By overseeing Summit’s event-based fundraising and sponsorships, our grant-writing, and our individual and corporate fundraising efforts, Shawn is helping to ensure that The Summit is well-positioned to serve our community for many years to come.
