Senior Leadership

Rev. David M. Smith – Executive Director

Since 2001, David has served as therapist, clinical supervisor and The Summit’s Executive Director. As Executive Director he is responsible for overseeing the execution of the mission and vision of The Summit.

Will Atkins – Director of Operations and Clinical Services

Will’s dual role involves both day-to-day management and forward-thinking strategy. He provides operational leadership of the organization’s management team and oversees the training and supervision of The Summit’s clinical staff.

Liz Williams – Director of Operations

Liz has been a leader in the Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities field in Georgia since 2011. She served most recently as the Director of Programs at the Tommy Nobis Center and has served in management roles at the Highland Rivers Community Service Board and the Cobb County Community Services Board. She is a certified CARF Accreditation Surveyor and she holds a Certificate of Leadership from the joint program sponsored by UGA and the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.

Rachel Newcomer – Director of Development

Rachel brings over 10 years of nonprofit fundraising experience to her role as Director of Development for The Summit. By overseeing The Summit’s event-based fundraising, and corporate fundraising efforts, Rachel is helping to ensure that the vital mission of The Summit continues to be fulfilled.
