The Summit Counseling Center of Johns Creek, GA is pleased to announce that Jordan Yates, M.A., LPC, NCC will be joining their staff beginning January 5, 2015. Mr. Yates has an extensive background working with children, teenagers and adults that goes beyond just the counseling spectrum, including covering professional and collegiate sports as a print and broadcast journalist and leading court-mandated, diversion-program groups centered on domestic violence, anger management, substance abuse, and child abuse. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University, Mr. Yates completed his Master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University. He holds certifications in Child-Centered, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Medical University of South Carolina and a pre-marital counseling certificate through PREPARE-ENRICH.
According to Mr. Yates, he is “looking forward to helping kids and those aspiring to assume and achieve God’s unique and personal calling in their lives alongside those now admirably serving at the Summit Counseling Center. I hope that my own unique blend of sports and passion for helping children and families will further the Summit’s tremendous cause in serving the North Fulton community.”
“I am very excited to have Jordan join our team”, said David Smith, Executive Director. “He will be a great asset as we continue to partner with our local schools, churches and other non profits to meet the growing needs of children, teens and families in our community.”
