Parents of children who are struggling academically often need help understanding why their children are having difficulty in school, and what to do about it. Dr. Rebecca Marshall, Ph.D., provides comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for children, adolescents and young adults. Screening assessments for learning and attention problems are also available, to help parents determine whether further testing or another avenue of assessment or intervention is warranted.

Screening Assessments for learning disabilities and attention problems include:

  • 45-60 minute initial consultation and interview of parent(s) and/or child/adolescent
  • 1 testing session lasting approximately 2 hours, using screening measures to assess: academic achievement (reading, math & spelling), attention, and behavioral and emotional well-being.
  • Summary report including recommendations and referrals.
  • 30-minute feedback session with parent(s) and/or child/adolescent/young adult.

Based on the screening results, Dr. Marshall makes recommendations to parents and clients regarding the possible need for: additional psycho-educational testing, counseling, tutoring, behavioral modifications, and/or other therapy.
