Haley believes that people are the experts on themselves, and that they can thrive given a warm environment, unconditional positive regard, and empathetic understanding. She believes in a holistic view of the client and the importance of looking at all aspects of a person’s life to create a clear picture of their story, and how best to care for them. She believes helping clients understand their emotions, thoughts, and feelings in a more meaningful and lasting way allows them to develop a stronger sense of confidence and self-assurance. She utilizes creative arts to facilitate self-expression, growth, and healing.
Haley received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre from Valdosta State University. After her undergraduate degree, she spent time at a children’s theatre as a mentor and teacher for their educational program. She then completed her master’s degree in Mental and Clinical Health Counseling and received a Certificate in Child and Adolescent Therapy at Richmont Graduate University. During this time, she received advanced training in child development, play therapy, trauma, and relational parenting. Though she is trained to work with all ages, her heart lies in working with children and adolescents utilizing the therapeutic modality of Child Centered Play Therapy.
Haley is a Georgia native and enjoys singing, going to musicals, and crocheting blankets for her loved ones. She loves taste testing new coffee shops, and taking her dachshund, Jake, on nature trails. She has another fur baby, an orange tabby named Simba, that loves to play in her crochet yarn.
Haley is a pre-licensed professional who is working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist. She is currently working under the clinical supervision of Trudy Sprunk, LPC, LMFT, RPT-S, EMDR, CPCS and Jennifer Acker, LPC, NCC, CMAC
