Summit is grateful to Mental Health America of Georgia for training 15 of our clinicians in the 6 modules of their Outreach Wellness Learning (OWL) program.
In Georgia, 2.3 million adults experience mental health disorders and approximately 1,000 Georgians die by suicide. OWL seminars have been designed to increase mental health literacy. Through education, communities will begin to eliminate stigma associated with mental illness and increase access to behavioral health supports and services.
If you are interested in having our team present a training for your organization contact Whitney Emrick at firstname.lastname@example.org or 678-893-5336.
Thank you to Jewell Gooding for leading the training, to Mental Health America of Georgia and their funding partners for providing the training and materials, and to the Fulton County Board of Commissioners under the guidance of the Department of Community Development CSP Program for providing funding in part, allowing our therapists to participate in this great community initiative.
