Finding Joy During the Holiday Season

Holidays can be a time of joy, sadness, chaos, stress, or fun. I selected these Bible verses to help us remember why we can always find joy in the midst of these things. We can rejoice because of the one who went before us, the one who dwells in us, the one who will return for us, and this is the one who is always with us and our joy never has to change because these things remain the same.

PSALM 117: 1-2 “Praise the Lord, all you nations! Worship Him, all you peoples! Because God’s faithful love toward us is strong, the Lord’s faithfulness lasts forever! Praise the Lord!”

1 Timothy 6:17 “God richly gives us everything to enjoy.”

James 1:17 “Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights in the sky.”

God wanted us to enjoy all things, so I pray your holidays were filled with joy and laughter because all things that are good come from Him. This was a great time to have a pause in life, to reflect, and rest in praises to Him and marvel at His creation which is you, your family, your children, your friends, your church, the world, the physical gifts, and the spiritual gifts. I hope you celebrated it all as gifts and enjoyed the holidays and continue to cherish these things throughout the year. Show the world the love that God has given to you. Live in peace so that others can be inspired to walk in peace as well.
