Empowering students and families through understanding and advocacy.

Learning disabilities can impact a person’s ability to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially — but with the right support, students can build confidence, develop strategies, and succeed. At The Summit Counseling Center, we provide compassionate and comprehensive counseling to help children, teens, and their families navigate challenges related to learning differences and academic stress.

Is a Learning Disability Affecting You or Your Child?

Counseling can help if you or your child:

  • Struggle with reading, writing, math, or focus in school
  • Have been diagnosed with a learning disability such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, or dysgraphia
  • Experience low self-esteem or frustration related to schoolwork
  • Feel anxious, overwhelmed, or avoidant about learning
  • Need support developing executive functioning or study skills
  • Want to better understand testing results, IEPs, or 504 plans

Our Approach

Our counselors work closely with families, schools, and students to address academic and emotional challenges. We focus on strengths while offering tools for success. Depending on your needs, your care may include the methods listed below.

We believe every learner has potential — and deserves support to thrive.

Every Learner Can Thrive

With the right strategies, encouragement, and advocacy, students can grow in confidence and succeed — in school and beyond.
