Charles is passionate about assisting clients to achieve their goals and enhance their overall quality of life. He specializes in working closely and collaboratively with adolescents, adults, and families. Some of his areas of concentration are addiction, anxiety, depression, self-esteem building, and emotional regulation.

Charles primarily utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing, while using a person-centered and strength-based approach. He helps clients to understand how distorted perceptions and thoughts can contribute to painful feelings and unwanted behaviors. The overall well-being of every client is his priority. During sessions, he ensures that each client feels heard, accepted, and understood. He works together with the client and provides a safe space for the client to address their challenges.

Charles completed his undergraduate degree at Morgan State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. He later earned his Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. In 2004, Charles relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked for eight years for the State of Georgia Department of Family and Children Services in the roles of Social Services Supervisor and Social Services Administrator.

Charles loves learning and meeting new challenges. He is continually looking for ways to grow and develop a healthier understanding of himself, others, and the world. He has a diverse background working with multicultural populations. Aside from providing therapy, Charles is married and the father of three children.
