About Kimberly Tate-Nuwar

"Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams, who looks inside, awakes."

― Carl Jung

Throughout a person’s lifetime, many seeds of change are planted. Sometimes we can tend to them on our own, but sometimes a partner is needed to assist in growing the seeds into a magnificent garden. In therapy with Kimberly, she believes each person is the expert in their own life, but may need a partner to build empowerment to make the seeds of change grow. Through a holistic and trauma-informed lens, she creates a safe, supportive space for clients to explore thoughts, emotions, and life experiences while working toward meaningful, self-defined goals, small or large. Kimberly utilizes an eclectic, integrative approach tailored to each client’s learning style and needs. Her main therapies are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Kimberly also uses narrative, person-centered, solution-focused, experiential, art-based, somatic, and mindfulness modalities. Her focus is on teaching practical skills and fostering insight to help clients build resilience, strengthen self-efficacy, and move toward the person they aspire to become.

In her free time, Kimberly can be found traveling with her husband, hiking, loving on her two dogs, going on walks, listening to a podcast, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Kimberly Tate-Nuwar is under the direct experience and clinical supervision of Jennifer Acker, LPC.
