About Diana Campos Pena

“There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.”

― John Green

Diana is a bilingual therapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating life transitions, cultural identity, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Her journey to becoming a therapist was inspired by witnessing the strength and resilience of immigrant and refugee families. She considers it a privilege to provide a space where clients can share their experiences without fear of judgment and begin to heal at their own pace.

Growing up in a community where mental health was often misunderstood inspired her to dedicate her life to breaking that stigma. She understands what it’s like to navigate the complexities of moving between cultures, the feelings of isolation, the weight of expectations, and the process of finding one’s voice in a new place.

In her practice, Diana’s style is warm, relational, and collaborative. She believes you are the expert on your own life, and her role is to walk alongside you, helping you reconnect with your strengths, gain clarity, and find balance.

She integrates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to meet each person’s unique needs, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

Diana’s goal is to foster a sense of safety, trust, and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship. She believes therapy is not about “fixing” people but about creating a space where you can be seen, heard, and supported as you reclaim your story. Her hope is that through open and compassionate conversations, especially within the Latino community, we can begin to see mental health care not as a sign of weakness but as an act of courage and love for ourselves and others.

Prior to joining The Summit, Diana worked as an assessor and therapist at Choices for Life of Georgia, where she provided individual counseling to children and adolescents. In this role, she supported clients through personal challenges, helped ease emotional burdens, and empowered them to achieve mental wellness. Diana finds it especially rewarding to work with children, as it offers the unique opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact in their lives.

When Diana is not counseling, she can usually be found enjoying a good cup of coffee at her favorite coffee shops, taking walks in nature, reading, or spending quality time with her two cats, Gigi and Neiven. These activities help her recharge and stay grounded, allowing her to bring energy, focus, and warmth to her work with clients.

Diana Campos Pena is under the directed experience and clinical supervision of Janet Fluker, MEd, MS, LPC.
