About Margaret “Maisy” Kelley

“Believe you can, and you are halfway there”

― Theodore Roosevelt

As a therapist, Maisy acknowledges the importance of rapport between client and provider, which is why a main pillar of her practice focuses on meeting clients where they are in life. Whether they are undergoing a significant life change, transitioning to adulthood, facing a difficult phase of parenthood, processing trauma, or regaining a sense of self, Maisy is ready to support her clients in navigating any challenge. Using a blend of strengths-based approach and motivational interviewing, Maisy supports individual clients in realizing their own strengths and building confidence needed to overcome obstacles or achieve goals. Additionally, Maisy enjoys integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to aid clients in identifying negative thought patterns that may be holding them back and teaches skills from the Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) framework to give clients tools to tolerate stress in their day-to-day lives. Maisy also enjoys nourishing the parent-child relationship utilizing Parent Child Interaction Therapy; through this modality, the parent learns skills to reduce problem behaviors in children ages 2-11 and foster a strong attachment rooted in mutual respect.

In her off time, Maisy enjoys reading a good fiction book, crafting, crocheting, and working out. On weekends, she may be found hiking with her son, while her husband is fishing nearby. She loves a good evening at home with her family and two dogs, Pencil and Stanley, cooking a good meal, and spending as much time as possible together!

Maisy Kelley is under the directed experience and clinical supervision of Jenn Aker, LPC.
