“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you” – Brené Brown

Mariah Dantzler strives to be a cultivator of connection as a child and adolescent therapist at Summit. She is here to serve your family during a rocky time and is passionate about serving the whole child. Mariah works with children (and their parents) ages 3-18. She is ACT certified, Nurtured Heart Approach trained, and is experienced working with children/adolescents going through cancer treatment.

Mariah is trained in play therapy and utilizes CBT, DBT, and ACT therapy modalities to provide an individualized approach to counseling…we are all unique and worth celebrating! She is also certified as a yoga instructor and loves to incorporate mind + body awareness in her sessions. Mariah is excited to work with you and your family to learn, grow, and heal.

No speaking engagement fear here…I love to speak on topics that empower kids and support parents! Some of those topics include:

  • Bend Don’t Break: Building Resiliency in Children
  • Getting Rid of Worry Bullies: Anxiety in Children + Teens
  • Emotions are Like Waves: Emotion Regulation in Children + Teens
  • Family Time Shouldn’t Suck: How to Build Connection in Family

Mariah received her master’s degree from Mercer University and is specialized in child therapy. Prior to coming to Summit, Mariah worked at the Make-A-Wish Foundation where she supported children and families on their journey with pediatric cancer and terminal illness.

Mariah lives in the city of Atlanta with her husband and rescue pup, Quinn. They are passionate about adventure and you can find them out and about trying a new restaurant, checking out a new park, or just learning some new Tik Tok dance moves (you are never too old right?!) She volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters and CASA and is passionate about serving vulnerable youth. Mariah attends and is a member of Grace Midtown Church.
